Seureca launched operations in Russia in 1991, through diagnosis of the operation of treatment plants and water distribution and sewage collection and sanitation for the city of St. Petersburg, both with a program proposal of investments until 2020.

In 1996, Seureca was involved in a program of long-term development of the water sector and sanitation for the water company of the city of St. Petersburg under the auspices of the European Bank Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

In 2003, the EBRD entrusts Seureca the realization of a new project of improvement of financial management and operational (FOPIP) of water companies, sanitation and heating system of the city Surgut.

More recently, in 2008, Seureca started the blueprint of the sanitation of the city of Sochi. This project, still ongoing today, is part of the XXII Olympic Winter Games of 2014. It is funded by the French Government as a gift (FASEP) and mainly involves the construction of six new treatment plants and the renewal of the existing network. The project will also study the sources of renewable energy and reduce CO2 emissions.

Beyond Russia, Seureca also achieved in recent years several projects in various countries of the CIS :

  • In 2006, Seureca provides technical assistance to start contract farming in Yerevan, Armenia.
  • In 2009, Seureca carries out an environmental impact audit for the construction of the emissaire at the sewage plant Hovsan, Baku, Azerbaijan.
  • In 2005, as part of a loan of 20 million euros granted by the EBRD to finance a program of investment in water and sanitation, Seureca has been entrusted the realization of the scheme director of supply system of potable water from the city of Dnipropetrovsk in Ukraine, then provides support to the modernization of infrastructure and equipment of the water department of the city.
