Experts in the Field of Water

Veolia taps the constantly growing professionalism of our employees to provide the right solutions for our clients' local issues.

For Veolia, improving the quality of local services, developing high-level skills worldwide and giving priority to training and prevention, especially in the field of safety, are permanent goals.

The right training

To adapt to the level of performance expected by clients and changes in our fields, Veolia Water relies on training. Provided by the Campus Veolia Environnement network of training centers and its curricula tailored to local needs, training ensures a standard level of technical expertise wherever we are present. Human resources planning, the starting point for assessing training needs, promotes career advancement and mobility, both geographical and/or between professional fields. Introduced in 2008, it aims to become a key driver of career management and is based on a common set of guidelines and requirements drafted in close collaboration with field employees. This planning process, which relies on a comprehensive skills and capabilities roadmap, helps operational managers optimize their organization and nurture talent.

A culture focused on prevention

Shaped by a continuous improvement process, health and safety prevention is a Veolia Water priority. This is evident, for example, in our adoption of a workplace injury management tool, the growing number of training initiatives and our systematic use of audits. Spurred by a management process involving employee representatives, our commitment to prevention has sharply reduced workplace accident rates, cutting them in half in the past five years. This performance positions Veolia Water as a workplace safety leader.
