In late 2010, Sade inaugurated the largest-ever project of its history in the presence of Mauritanian officials. The Aftout Essahli project was intended to bolster the drinking water supply to the capital city of Nouakchott from the Senegal River.

Within 36 months, the company rallied its troops — up to 650 people working simultaneously at times — and completed the substantial work package won back in 2007.
The contract involved the installation of pipes between the Aftout pumping station along the Senegal River and the pre-treatment plant, followed with 170 km of underground pipes to transfer 170,000 m3/d of drinking water from the plant to the capital city of Nouakchott.
