Cities around the world

2008 is the fifth consecutive year of Veolia Environnement's commitment to its sustainable development awareness program. Entitled "Tales around the world - when our cities tell their tale", this year's initiative involve children from all over the world.

With "Cities around the world" children will give their city the opportunity to have it say: they find out more about their city, they discover its desires and dreams and express what people could do so that it keeps living in harmony with the Earth.

A prize-giving ceremony and exhibition of children's projects will be held in Paris on June 13, 2008.

2004 to 2007

All four previous Veolia Environnement sustainable development awareness campaigns - "Scroll around the world" in 2004, "Streamers around the world" in 2005, "Sketches around the world" in 2006 and "Tales around the world" in 2007 - have proved enormously successful with children, teachers and the official bodies that have been happy to support these initiatives in over 20 countries.
