Second in Europe and sixth largest worldwide car manufacturer, PSA Peugeot Citroën sold more than 3.3 million vehicles worldwide in 2002 under the two brands Peugeot and Citroën.

PSA sites are located in 140 countries with around 198,000 employees.

PSA plants in Sochaux (Peugeot 307) and Mulhouse (Peugeot 206 and 307) are the two most important production sites in the group. The PSA site in Vesoul is the strategic site in terms of logistics. These three sites, classified under the French regulation on industrial pollution prevention and control, are ISO 14001 certified.

PSA was intent on the creation of a joint venture to operate all activities relating to non-process maintenance and technical services on the Mulhouse, Sochaux and Vesoul sites: facilities management, energy fluids, water supply, waste and wastewater treatment, offices and workshops cleaning.

This project met PSA's strategy to focus its ressources on the development of its core business while optimising the operation of its tertiary and support activities.
