A customer-focused organisation

A Group that is both global and intensely local

Veolia Water provides its services to municipalities and industrial customers via an organization which is resolutely customer focused. As a result, it has divided the organization into 5 main zones - France, Europe, Africa-Middle East-India, Asia, America.
These large zones are divided into operational units which correspond to where Veolia Water is operating.

Its two subsidiaries which provide technological solutions and design and construct water treatment equipment, systems and facilities - Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies and Sade - also operate on all five continents and have a global organization which enable them to respond in an independent and co-ordinated manner to the management contractssigned by Veolia Water.

Finally, the central overarching services (Finance, Human Resources, Legal and Investor Relations, Technical, Sustainable Development, Research, Corporate Relations) are responsible for co-ordinating a Group which is both global and at the same time intensely local.

A highly decentralised organisation

Subsidiaries and offices on a human scale

That Veolia Water's works very closely on a local level with its customers is particularly apparent by its ability to integrate and train the employees of the local authorities who award the company with the management of their water services. It is also the concrete result of its strategy.

Nowadays subsidiaries and offices are on a human scale with, on average, 150 employees. Each one is managed by a local manager, equipped with the resources and the autonomy of a company director - almost 1,000 top managerial staff.

A Health and Safety Policy that applies to all employees

Santé et Sécurité

"Veolia Water believes that the first right of each employee is a safe working environment."

Conscious of the fact that the working world is ever changing, that working conditions are constantly evolving, that new types of risks are emerging, Veolia Water is committed to a participatory management approach towards health and safety.

Veolia Water has implemented a health and safety at work policy which is an integral part of the company's global management. Procedures have been set up allowing for an internally structured organization to efficiently manage the protection of people and property.

Veolia Water's occupational health and safety management system in France as well as around the world is based on the guidelines laid down by the International Labour Organisation (ILO-OSH 2001). These principles have been converted into safety measures that are tailored to the company's business activities.

This approach takes into account each country's own regulations and has been developed in partnership with the company's employees, who are at the heart of our business thanks to their expertise and experience.
