Veolia Water a partner at the World's Fair in Zaragoza

The theme of Expo Zaragoza 2008, the World's Fair being held from June 14 to September 14, 2008, is Water and Sustainable Development.

Veolia Water support several educational communication initiatives being organized to educate as many people as possible about the importance of water resource management to the future of humanity.

Veolia Water work on the design of the three biggest of the eight attractions planned:

  • "the 10 verbs for water," an illuminated 8 x 8 meter water wall with films illustrating the stages in the water cycle;
  • "the blue box," a 7 x 3 meter cube allowing 14 people at a time to view short interactive game clips on the theme of water and cities;
  • "desalinating water," an event designed to give the public an understanding of desalination through a sensorial and physical experience.

From July 15 to 19, Veolia Water will take part in La Tribuna del Agua, a forum bringing together the parties who can contribute to world debate on innovation in water management: members of the scientific and international community, operators and water managers.
Veolia Water will also have a three-week presence, from July 7 to 27, in the partners' area of the French pavilion, where its expertise will be on display for the general public.
