Objectives

To minimize the risk of future water restrictions during severe drought conditions, Laemchabang water recycle plant aims to optimize the reuse of wastewater with other local water resources and to achieve additional environmental benefits. Veolia Water solution

In 2006 GUSCO, together with the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand, installed a wastewater recycling plant at Laemchabang. The recycle plant with a capacity of up to 5,000 cum/day can contribute up to 25% of the industrial estate daily water demand. Using latest reverse osmosis membrane technology, this recycle plant Supplements the raw water available from other local resources.

The project is part of a program to reduce the impact of industrial activities on water resources, and to secure water supplies to the industrial customers at Laemchabang during drought conditions.
