Since its establishment in 2002, Veolia Water Japan has been developing its business in Japan. It provides water and wastewater services to both municipal and industrial clients.

In 2006, Veolia Water Japan was awarded 2 municipal contracts for operation and maintenance (O&M) of wastewater treatment plants with Hiroshima City and Saitama Prefecture (suburbs of Tokyo) for a period of 3 years. Following that year, it signed with Chiba Prefecture (suburbs of Tokyo). This contract also covers O&M of wastewater treatment plant for 3 years.

In 2006, it also signed for a BOT (Build, Operate, Transfer) project for Showa Denko Hard Disc plant in Singapore and now provides Ultra Pure Water (UPW) and water recycling services to the plant.

Veolia Water Japan and its subsidiaries now have 1200 employees in Japan and offer tailored water solutions to clients.

Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies designs and builds water treatment works for municipalities and industry. It offers a complete range of technological solutions based on in-house processes and including equipment, modular systems and associated services that meet the water treatment requirements of its municipal and industrial clients.
