A Commitment Recognized by Specialist Bodies
The purpose of these agencies is to asses the policies that have been implemented and the social and environmental performance of companies.
Thanks to its excellent performance, Veolia Environnement (Veolia Water is one of its divisions) has been listed in the following sustainable development indexes (as of October 1, 2006):
- - the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes - DJSI World and DJSI EURO STOXX
VE has been selected as the leading company in the water sector for the DJSI EURO STOXX - - the FTSE4Good (Financial Times and London Stock Exchange)
- - the ASPI Eurozone Index (Advance Sustainable Performance Indexes)
- - the Ethibel Sustainability Index

Veolia Environnement has also been singled out for the quality of its communications with regard to social and environmental responsibilities.
