Veolia Water is partner of the Armenian authorities since December 2005, when the 10 years contract of water services management for the capital city of Yerevan was signed.
This contract, which has been awarded after an international call for tenders organised by the World Bank and the Armenian government, benefits from a 18.75 million US Dollar financing. It covers all the water services activities, such as production, distribution, customer services, and maintenance. The contract came into force on the 1st of June 2006.

Year of French / Armenian friendship
Veolia Environment and Veolia Water are partners of the Year of French / Armenian friendship, an operation named "Arménie, mon amie" (Armenia, my friend), that will take place from the 21st of September 2006 (the anniversary of the Armenian Independence), to the 14th of July 2007. Cultural and festive celebrations will be organised in the two countries.
