The first contract signed by Veolia Water in Korea with the municipality dated back in 2001 in Incheon, the third city in the country. It concerns the design, construction, operation and financing of two wastewater treatment plants. It was followed by another project signed in Kumdan, which complements the Incheon project, for the construction and management of a new wastewater treatment plant

In 2000, Hyundai Petrochemical Co. entrusted the Veolia Water to the operation of drinking water and industrial water treatment facilities in the petrochemical complex in Daesan (a port situated in 170 km in the South of Seoul). The water treatment process of this project is particularly sophisticated, including one of the most important reverse osmosis facilities in Asia
In 2001, Hynix Semicoductor entrusted Veolia Water (in association with some Korean financial institutes), for the period of 12 years, the management of four water production plants and the distribution of ultra pure water, four drinking water facilities, two treatment facilities of industrial effluents and one for ultra pure water recycling, for the semi-conductor production sites (Ichon, Ganam, Cheongju and Gumi)
