Veolia Vatten AB focuses on operation of water and wastewater networks and plants, and sludge management for municipal and industrial clients.
The operation in Sweden started in 2002 with a long-term partnership agreement with the Municipality of Norrtalje. The agreement covers the operation and maintenance of 13 water treatment plants, 19 wastewater treatment plants, 70 pumping stations, 700 km of network connections and other infrastructure as well as customer service. The staff that formerly worked for the municipality has been transferred to Veolia Vatten AB. In addition, Veolia Vatten operates the water and wastewater networks for other Municipalities such as Danderyd and Jarfalla, as well as pumping stations for Stockholms Lokaltrafik (SL).
