Organization
Veolia Water is organized on both the global and the local level to fulfill its public service responsibilities and remain close to clients:
- Six major geographical areas for municipal and industrial services.
- small-scale local centers are run by managers with the autonomy of company heads;
- Joint head office services (finance, human resources, legal and investor relations, technical and research and communications).
- Two subsidiaries for technological solutions and design and build of facilities.
A highly decentralized organization structure
In order to be as close as possible to the needs of its customers, Veolia Water has opted for a highly decentralized organization structure:
- Profit centres on a human scale (<100 employees).
- A manager with most of the responsibilities of a company director.
- Over one thousand top managerial positions.
Co-ordination boards
As a result of its decentralized strucutre, Veolia Water has set up co-ordination boards:
- Between geographical areas and head office departments;
- Between each of the geographical areas in order to exchange expertise;
- Between operations and design-build activities;
- With other Divisions within the Veolia Environnement Group
