Prioritizing the supply of drinking water to the hospital at Meulaboh

Although it escaped the tidal wave, the hospital at Meulaboh in Indonesia was affected by the earthquake which destroyed its water supply.

Located in the hills above the city, the hospital at Meulaboh was not affected by the tsunami but the earthquake did cause serious damage.

Its freshwater treatment unit had been destroyed and there were leaks throughout its entire water supply system.
At the request of the Red Cross, Veolia Waterforce's technicians install an emergency water purification unit. They deal with the extensive leakage by first constructing an emergency supply system. They then proceed to gradually repair the original water supply system.
